  • It’s the Easter Cat! Wait. What? A fun little spin on your Easter cookies – A sweet little kitty cat all dressed up in a fluffy bunny suit made from flaked coconut. One of the best things about social media around Easter time is pets dressed up in bunny ears I admit putting bunny ears on my beagle and I know that some of you do it too. Just admit it. It’s hilarious. And cute. So I decided to dress up my cat cookies with bunny ears. Oh.My.Cuteness! So if you don’t want to totally humiliate your pet on social media this Easter by posting a pic of them in bunny ears, you can make these instead! #bunnyearcatcookies

Ingredients

  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1 tablespoon flour (for cookie mix)
  • 1 egg (for cookie mix)
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened but not melted (for cookie mix)
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
  • 48 white Jordan almonds
  • Pink edible marker
  • 1/2 cup melted white chocolate chips
  • 48 white chocolate chips
  • Black edible marker

Instructions

  • Step

    Preheat oven to 375° F. Prepare cookie mix according to package instructions.

    Roll dough and cut into oval shapes using an oval cookie cutter. Bake 7-9 minutes. Cool cookies completely before decorating.

    Spread the bottom half of the cookie with the fluffy white frosting. Sprinkle coconut on top of frosting and press down gently. Using the pink edible marker, color in the middle of the white Jordan almonds for the ears.

    Attach to the top of cookie using melted white chocolate chips. Draw a line under the almonds to make it look like a bunny ear band.

    With the melted white chocolate, attach pink confetti sprinkle for the nose and 2 white chocolate chips for the cat ears.

    Draw in the eyes, mouth and whiskers with the black edible marker.
