Indian Spice Rub for Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon yellow curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom
  • 4 wild Alaskan Sockeye Salmon Filets, 6-7 oz. each

Instructions

    Combine garam masala through cardamom in a small bowl. Can be prepared in advance and stored for several weeks in an airtight container.

    Preheat oven to 450°F.

    Line the bottom layer of your broiler pan with foil. Place the upper section back on and grease with olive oil.

    Rub both sides of each salmon filet with spice mixture. Place on top of the broiler pan. Cook for 14-17 minutes, turning the filets half way through, or until desired doneness is achieved.

    Drizzle tops with olive oil.
