The Kentucky Derby always falls close to Cinco de Mayo and this Mint Julep meets Margarita cocktail will make everyone happy at your Mexico via Kentucky party!

More About This Recipe

  • A huge crisis is on the horizon. The Kentucky Derby falls on the same day as Cinco de Mayo. What are we going to drink?!?!? For those of you who can’t choose between the classic Mint Julep and Margarita, just do what I plan on doing, and mix them together! This Mint Julep Margarita blends the most basic versions of both drinks into a fantastic hybrid. Bourbon, tequila, lime, and mint syrup into the shaker. Salt the rim of a glass and fill with ice. Pour in the drink and serve!
