More About This Recipe

  • Even if you're not a morning person, you'll rise and shine when you wake up to this delish hot breakfast! Confession 1: I haven’t made my kids breakfast for a month. They won’t eat it. They don’t want it. I offer them toast and cereal. Fruit and granola bars. Yogurt and leftover lasagna. They’re super over breakfast. It’s boring, say they. And I kinda agree. We’re so over the same old, same old. Confession 2: I hit the snooze button always. Because mornings come so early. So, I’ve been letting the kids and myself sleep in until the very last minute. Which is why breakfast is uninspired. The stuff we can make fast is blah. It’s cold from the fridge, unfun, and unfulfilling on winter morns. Confession 3: The easiest breakfast ever just got easier. I decided to take matters into my own sleepy hands and make up a breakfast that makes healthy comfort breakfast happen in, like, two seconds flat. This overnight Slow Cooker Muesli does just that. If you have time to press the snooze button, you’ve got time to make this recipe. You’ll have a hot, homemade brekkie waiting for you the moment you shuffle outta slumber, and your kids will get a breakfast you’re proud to feed ‘em. Confession 4: We rock. Ingredient lineup. Grab a box of Cascdsian Farm granola cereal. Take a handful and nibble, the stuff is goooood. You’ll also need nuts. And pumpkin seeds. And cinnamon.Pop it in all in a slow cooker with some almond milk. DID YOU JUST SEE THAT RECIPE INSTRUCTION LIST?! Here it is again if you missed it…. Pop it in all in a slow cooker with some almond milk. You’re done. Told you we rock. Cook overnight in your slow cooker. Serve it up topped with broccoli sprouts and strawberries sliced like hearts. Seriously, we rock mornings. Even when we hit the snooze button twice.
