Cheeseburger Salad Bowls

Ever think you'd feel good about eating a cheeseburger? We just figured out that "secret sauce" makes a great salad dressing, so you can get your cheeseburger fix and feel good about it, too. Pro tip: Top your salad with dill pickles and sesame seed croutons for maximum burger flavor.

Cheeseburger Salad Bowls

Ingredients

Croutons

  • 2 sesame seed buns, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted

Burger

  • 1 lb ground beef (at least 80% lean)
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Dressing

  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon dill pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

Salad

  • 1 large head iceberg lettuce, chopped (8 cups)
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 1 cup grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup dill pickle chips, quartered

Instructions

    Heat oven to 375°F. In ungreased 15x10x1-inch pan, spread bread cubes in single layer. Drizzle melted butter evenly over bread cubes; toss until coated. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely.

    Meanwhile, in 10-inch skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes, stirring frequently, until thoroughly cooked; drain. Reduce heat to medium. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Cook and stir 1 minute. Remove from heat.

    In small bowl, mix Dressing ingredients.

    Divide lettuce among 4 serving bowls. Arrange beef mixture, cheese, tomatoes, dill pickles and croutons on top of lettuce. Serve with dressing.
