More About This Recipe

  • Just when you thought chicken wings couldn't be made any better, along come chicken wings inside waffles! Fried chicken and waffles are everywhere these days, and these waffle wings are the most compact way to eat the classic flavor pairing. I saw this delicious idea by Dude Food and had to give it a try. When people first see these waffle-coated wings, they sort of do a double-take. It’s a real Frankenfood, stitched together with its seams showing. After the double take though, they quickly start devouring the wings. They're really tasty and addicting, and it’s hard not to attack them! I think the main keys to the recipe are making the chicken skin super crispy (so it stays crispy inside the waffle) and using a maple buffalo sauce to really bring the wing and waffle flavors together. A quick dip in some ranch is the way to go on these. Cute, unique, fun, and delicious!
