Savory cheeseburger ingredients baked in Pillsbury™ Classic Crust Pizza Crust and topped with cheese, tomatoes, and pickles!

More About This Recipe

  • Stuffed with burger and all the fixings, these little eats are a mouthful! I love it when a recipe lands in the trifecta of recipes: it’s fun to make, it’s easy to make, and it’s delicious! Very few meet all three, so when you find one – bookmark it! These little cheeseburger cupcakes are definitely fun, and thanks to store-bought pizza crust, they're really easy to toss together. But the real surprise is how savory and delicious they are! Topped with some classic cheeseburger toppings, they have all the flavors of a full burger in a bite-sized appetizer. Serve these with classic cheeseburger toppings: tomatoes, pickles, mustard, and ketchup!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil (such as canola)
  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Classic Crust Pizza Crust
  • Butter or oil, for pan
  • 4 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 2 Roma tomatoes, diced for topping
  • 1 dill pickle, diced for topping
  • Ketchup, for garnish
  • Mustard, for garnish

Instructions

  • Step
    1
Preheat oven to 375°F. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add onions and cook until they are soft, 3-4 minutes.
  • Step
    2
Add ground beef to skillet with onions. Break the beef up as it browns and cook it for 6-8 minutes until it’s nicely browned. Add salt and pepper to your liking. Remove from heat.
  • Step
    3
Lightly butter or oil a muffin tin. Open Pillsbury™ Classic Crust Pizza Crust and roll out lightly. Cut dough sheet into 9 even pieces and press into the muffin tins to form crusts.
  • Step
    4
Fill crusts with the beef mixture. You can stuff them full.
  • Step
    5
Bake cups at 375°F for 16-18 minutes until the cups are browned and cooked through. Remove from oven and sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven to melt cheese, 2-3 minutes.
  • Step
    6
When cups are done and cheese is melted, pop the cups out of the muffin tins. Garnish each cheeseburger cup with diced tomatoes, pickles, ketchup and mustard (or serve condiments on the side). Serve while warm!
