More About This Recipe

  • Okay, so ready? Confession Time. I have this totally irrational fear of taking a potluck dish to a potluck, having everyone turn up their noses at my makings and leave the potluck with a totally full, uneaten bowl. As with all weaknesses, I’ve seen terror as an opportunity to obsessively hunt for the Finest Potluck Foodstuffs in all the land. And have therefore created a secret recipe stash of irresistible, crowd pleasing potluckery that wins the world. NBD. I’m basically just a potluck fanatic. Which is to say, you can totally trust me. Because I’ve started into the fear-laden face of death and come out the other side, toting homemade dishes so good, fellow potluckians have crowned me Queen. Or, well. They would have, if they’d have been able to stop shoveling forkfuls into their mouths, catching breaths between sighs and squeals. You, too, can rock this quite of response at your next potluck. I want this for you. I can’t have another soul take home a lackluster bowl of inedibles. And so, I’m sharing one winner guaranteed to rock the potluck. POTATO. PASTA. SALAD. Already a winner here, because it’s got all the things everyone already loves. This scrumptious salad is about to become your ticket to potluck professionalism. Quit your day job and travel around the world wowing people at potucks. You’ve never heard of such a thing? That’s because you’ve obviously never shared this dish with 22 of your closest friends and neighbors, only to be carried out on the streets atop their shoulders, chanting as if you were the politician of peace and tasty-ness. Prepare yourself. Here’s your ingredient line-up. To make this salad perfecto and simple, I start it off with a box of Suddenly Salad. The exact-right amount of pasta plus a fab seasoning pack that makes some killer creamy Caesar dressing. Toss and stir gently until well mixed. And grab a Sharpie. Because you’re about to be signing autographs after tucking this recipe into the summertime spread. Way to win the potluck, you clever cook, you.
