More About This Recipe

  • The best stories start with whipped cream and vodka, and these creamsicle jello shots are no exception. Although jello shots require very few ingredients and are just as easy to make as they are to throw back and drink, there are a few key pointers. Starting with boiling water is essential to activating and dissolving the gelatin powder; this is how you get your jello to set up and get firm. It’s also a good idea to pre-chill your alcohol before adding it to the mix—in this case, the vodka. Otherwise, the alcohol will evaporate. Add more water if you want a less boozy shot and obviously, add more vodka if you want your shots stronger. It’s a simple recipe but knowing some of the hacks can turn simple into a no-brainer. Check out our total guide on how to make foolproof, party-worthy jello shots every time.
